So today was the day I mentally planned to do some kind of diamante pumpkin thing and while my son was at playgroup I got busy. And you know what? It was not good. Too much faff. So I started again. Kept it simple. And I’m much happier with the results.
The pumpkin is a mini one I found at Morrissons this weekend, they’re currently 99p. The diamante stickers are from Poundland (check out my thrifty self) and its a pack of black and clear ones, strangely costing a quid and there’s about 200 stickers in there. Seriously I had to put down about 15 things in that place, it’s a dangerous shop for my credit card.
The stickers are all stuck together in lines (which is what basically messed up project number one) so I went with my hey-I’ve-got-two-kids-and-not-much-sleep mantra of’ ‘work with the tools you’re given’ and used them to easily make lines going around my pumpkin.
Et voila! You have a cute diamante pumpkin that will look pretty on your mantlepiece or bring a bit of blingy glam to your Halloween celebrations. And it cost you less than two quid. Win.
Have you done anything *gasp* grown up for Halloween yet or is it all about the kids for you? Let me know below!
