Hello, I’m Kate and Crafts on Sea is my way of stupidly trying to fit more into my life. That was a silly idea, wasn’t it?

I live in Westcliff on Sea in Essex with The Husband (aka The Preacher) and The Toddler (aka the one in the supermarket yelling out ‘Me Boss!’)

I started this blog in Mach 2012 after returning to work post baby and thinking that while I was y’know…busy, a lot of it wasn’t stuff that I was that interested in (for which you may wish to read, I wanted an excuse to dodge the washing up). I’m not a fantastic crafter, I am however enjoying learning silversmithing, sewing, printing, baking and whatever else comes my way and I hope that people enjoy it too, along with all the other random stuff that pops into my head.

In life outside of blogging I’m a stay at home mum after managing to pretty much get made redundant and get pregnant in the same week. I’ve written in everything from punky fanzines  to sensible grown up magazines. If you are interested in me doing some work for you, please contact me at craftsonsea @gmail.com For my blog I will do product reviews and sponsored posts but only if it’s something I’m interested in, my basic rule is fast cars and diamonds = good, cleaning products = bad. I am also happy to talk about advertising rates for this site.
